Welcome to Greater Houlton Christian Academy's website! For those who are visiting our site for the first time, www.ghca.com is your window into the daily lives of the students, staff, and faculty here at the Academy. I encourage you to click on the various links under the Overview section of our side menu to better familiarize yourselves with the mission and purpose of Greater Houlton Christian Academy. For more specific information regarding our school, the links under the Detail section of our menu will be most useful. To learn more about the special programs offered here at GHCA (some of which have "put us on the map"), as well as useful website features, check out those links found under the Highlights section. Finally, feel free to communicate with us via the Misc. links if you have any questions.
At the top of each page you'll notice a menu of the "most happening" features of the GHCA website - those parts of our site that change often in order to bring you the most recent news, information, and statistics. While you're looking up there, notice the search box. If you are having trouble finding something - just use the search box to do a Google-powered search of our entire website!
I hope that you will find the GHCA website a most powerful tool and a part of your daily online routine. NOTICE - As of this writing, our website is in the midst of a transformation. Those familiar with the old site will notice some astetic differences, but the real differences are behind-the-scenes, deep in the code that makes all of this "magically" appear on your screen. The new design will allow you to interact with the site and participate in your school in ways never before possible. We are looking forward to having students, parents, and even grandparents generate content for this website. However, this website is HUGE, and thus there are many pages that have not yet been converted to the new 2.0 format. This means you may get an abnormal number of "Page not found" errors, or similar messages. I will be focusing on importing much of the original content (in our new, cool format), as well as creating new content, for much of the Fall and Winter. My focus will be to provide the most popular / necessary features first, and then I'll go back and fill in the gaps.
In the meantime, enjoy the parts of the site that have been converted, and check back often for news, events, new features, and much more!

A message from the Head of School
Dear Parents and Students,
It is always my pleasure to welcome you to Greater Houlton Christian Academy. I truly sense that God is up to something here at GHCA. While I am not sure exactly what it is, I know we must be watching, waiting and ready to move ahead at His leading. God has chosen to bless this place beyond measure. It was by His grace that we came into existence, and it is His grace that sustains us.
It is my prayer that during this academic year you will learn firsthand what makes the Academy unique. Yes, we have an excellent Christian based curriculum. Yes, our teachers are awesome. Yes, our students are great kids. But though these things are important, they are not what makes us unique. What makes GHCA special is the presence of the Living God. He is here at the center of everything we do. We recognize that our students come to us for many different reasons. When the year is over, however, I hope that each of you will be able to look back and be glad you were here because you discovered that within these walls God is about the business of changing lives. Even yours!
Thank you for your confidence. Please know we count it a great privilege to share in the responsibility of training your children. Please join us in our prayer that we will be found faithful as we seek to lead your boys and girls and teenagers to the One who never turns them away. I am convinced that in the final analysis there is nothing more important.
