OVERVIEW OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
The Greater Houlton Christian Academy's Junior High School, which includes grades 7 and 8, offers a transitional program between the self-contained elementary classroom and the departmentalized high school. It is more student-centered than subject centered. The junior high school is a place where students feel secure and can be guided daily by their homeroom teacher. The curriculum of the junior high is geared to their needs and includes Bible, Language Arts, U.S. History, world history and geography, mathematics, life science, earth science, choir, computer skills, computer programming and guidance.
OVERVIEW OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
GHCA's High School, which is grades 9 through 12, is departmentalized. Our courses are geared to prepare students for continued post-secondary education (college, seminary, etc.). Core courses include Bible, English, Latin, math, science, computer fundamentals, history, government, public speaking, Spanish, physical education and health. We also offer opportunities for students to participate in such classes and activities as aerospace science, drama, choir, band, teacher aide, and much more. Students graduate from Greater Houlton Christian Academy with a solid education, work ethic, and Biblical foundation.
