WE'RE BACK (09/03/2010)

You probably thought I had dropped off the end of the earth. No, I am alive and well. What an awesome summer! I visited with family and friends and had a great time of relaxing at the lake. However, I am glad school is ready to start. I hope my students are as well. One thing God made me realize this summer is how beautiful His creation is. At the end of June I had cataract surgery. As my friend was driving me home after the bandage was removed all I kept saying was, "Oh,wow, look at how green the trees are" or "Isn't the sky blue?" I thank God for the medical knowledge He has given doctors to perform amazing things.

I was extremely pleased with the parent turnout on Thursday's Open House. If you were unable to be there, make sure you ask me for the packet of information that I passed out.

My prayer for the coming year is that as parents, teacher, administration, and students that we learn more about our great and awesome God.

FIELD TRIP PLANNED (05/03/2010)

On Thursday, May 6, Kindergarteners will become consumers. We will be having lunch at Burger Kings. It will give the students an opportunity to order their own lunch and pay for it. It will also give them a chance to use their communication skills and good manners when dealing with the clerks.

CONCERT PRACTICE (04/01/2010)

On Thursday, April 8, Kindergarten students need to be dropped off at the Wesleyan Church at 8:00 a.m. for practice. You'll need to drop their school bag and lunch off at school. Thank you!

SPRING CONCERT (03/29/2010)

The night of the concert PreK and Kindergarten will be sitting down front of the auditorium. I will be there by 6:15. When you arrive just send your child to where we're sitting. After we do our part we'll take the students back to the nursery for you to pick up.

NEW WINDOWS (03/17/2010)

Have you checked out our new windows in Kindergarten? Thank you to the people who installed them! I'm sure this will help control the temp in our classroom and make the new heating system even more efficient. A great big thank you to Mrs. Heidi Nightingale for helping clean on Mon. a.m.

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES - JAN. 28 (01/11/2010)

The job of educating your child involves many things. Probably one of the most important is communication. Parent-Teacher conferences are one way to keep communication at a high level. Time has been set aside for parents of Pre-K and Kindergarten to set down with the teacher and talk about your child's progress. It is essential for your child to see us as a team working to make his/her school experience successful. PLEASE call the school office as soon as possible to set up a specific time on either Wed. afternoon (2:40pm - 3:30pm) or Thurs.(8:00am - 11:30am). Kindergarten students will not have school on Jan. 28.
