The first week of school (09/07/2010)
The first day went so well! I am very thankful and know I am going to thoroughly enjoy this group of kids. There are no tests this week, and the only homework will be a little studying and completing any math pages that were not finished in class. Students will write their assignments in their assignment notebooks on a daily basis for parents to check and sign. The assignment notebook cost is $3 which can be paid in the office or in the classroom. We're off to a wonderful start! :)
Back to School! (09/01/2010)
The school year begins again! We truly were blessed with a beautiful, sunny summer. :) I am looking forward to a wonderful year and know I will enjoy this new group of students. I hope to see you all Thursday night for Open House!
almost done! (06/01/2010)
No tests this week! :)
Tuesday: a regular school day
Wednesday: a half day
- Dismissal will be at 11:50 am.
- Students may wear "cleaning" clothes: nice jeans, t-shirts/sweatshirts with appropriate writing or pictures.
- Students should bring a large bag to carry home school materials.
Thursday: awards and lake day
- We will not meet at GHCA. Will will meet at the Houlton Wesleyan Church at 8:00 am for the Awards Ceremony. Students should wear chapel dress for this ceremony.
- After the Awards Ceremony, students may change into their picnic clothes at GHCA and meet in the 6th grade classroom so that we can leave together. Students may wear tank tops (no spaghetti straps), shorts, jeans, flip-flops--be prepared to have fun!
- At Birch Point, students will be able to go swimming, kayaking, etc. They should bring an extra change of clothes in case they get wet and want to be comfortable going home.
- Students should bring a bag lunch unless they have already ordered food in advance.
-
When we are finished at Birch Point, students may either go home with their rides or return to GHCA with their rides to be picked up by their parents/guardians.
- In case of pouring rain, this event will be canceled.
